Bilingual Customer Service Specialist/Workforce Consultant – State Agency $20.21 p/h

  • English/Spanish Fluency is required
  • Monday- Friday, 8 am – 5 pm
  • Temporary assignment lasting 3+ months
  • Opportunity for future full-time employment
  • $20.21 per hour, 40 hours per week
  • Excellent opportunity to work in a State agency

Duties:

  • Provide translation and technology assistance to callers for the unemployment benefits program
  • Provide detailed and clear instructions regarding the unemployment insurance process
  • Interpret the claimant’s rights and responsibilities
  • Explain and interpret processes, procedures, options, and program rules
  • Explain eligibility and program qualifications
  • Question callers to obtain detailed information via fact-finding interviews
  • Review records for accuracy and completeness, access data, and update records
  • Research databases for claimant information and required documents
  • Review submitted information, forms, applications, etc., for accuracy and completeness
  • Provide outstanding customer service and administrative support

Requirements:

  • English/Spanish fluency *reading and speaking
  • Able to pass a background check and drug screen
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Type a minimum of 35 WPM with a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong administrative skills
