Irrigation Control Tech- $20.00 p/h Part-time, weekend shift

• Seasonal position, late March- late September
• 10 hours per week at $20.00 p/h
• Saturday, 8 pm-2 am + Sunday, 8 pm-12 am

DUTIES: 

• Operates irrigation gates, checks, turnouts, and spills to ensure proper water flow in canals and drains
• Clean and maintain culvert crossings, pump inlet grates, checks, and spills
• Removing debris with a long-handled weed fork as needed
• Daily irrigation patrol
• Assists in weed removal, as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Use your own vehicle- mileage reimbursed at $0.58 per mile
• Must be physically fit and able to lift 50lbs, walk on uneven terrain and up/down steep canal banks
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test
• Able to work 7 days per week during the season
