Personnel Plus is NOW HIRING A Quality Assurance Technician in Boise, ID  in Boise, ID

  • Full-time, day and swing shifts available. Swing shift offers a $1.50 per hour shift differential
  • Day Shift: 5 am-2 pm
  • Swing Shift: 2:30 pm- 11:30 pm
  • Training is provided for all areas, programs, and duties
  • $15.00 p/h + DOE + Excellent Benefits Package

Duties:

The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for monitoring and documenting that the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Food Safety Programs (HACCP), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs) are followed to ensure the quality and safety of the products
Pre-operational Inspection
Preoperational inspections of Equipment and Facility and Record-keeping
Operational Inspections
Monitoring employee practices, cleanliness of equipment, tools, and utensils.
Record keeping of inspection
Product Hold/Segregation/Release
Cutting room (Raw)
Ensure that all incoming raw chicken breasts and dark meat are received in good condition and meet the raw material specifications for condition, temperature, bones, skin, veins, and hard cartilage connective tissue
Ensure all refrigerated meat and poultry raw materials are handled safely and that required temperatures of product and room are maintained during the cutting and marinating process
Fry Line Cook Room
Ensure that all battered poultry, pork and beef products are cooked and/or cut at the required times and temperatures to achieve the minimum internal temperature/specification requirements
Ensure the control of the physical aspects of the product such as sizing, uniformity, defects, batter pickup, flavor, etc.
Packaging Room
Ensure the documented control of the cooling/freezing and packaging process so that previously fully cooked products are cooled/frozen at the required times and temperatures to inhibit the growth of microorganisms and preserve the product before packaging.
Product Sampling/Testing
Ensure the elements pertaining to the monitoring and verification of metal detectors are in place so that all finished products are packaged safely to protect consumers

Requirements:

  • Prior food processing experience is desired, NOT required
  • Ability to work overtime and weekend hours
  • Able to stand on concrete for up to 8 hours, bend, stoop, and lift to 50 pounds
  • Basic computer skills
  • A detail-orientated, team player with a positive attitude
  • High School diploma or equivalent
