Class A CDL Driver – Transport Semi Trailers! FULL-TIME!

Personnel Plus, Inc. is NOW HIRING a full-time CDL Driver in Boise, ID!

  • Full-time temp-to-hire!
  • Schedule varies based on route and delivery requirements
  • $0.45 per mile
  • $19.90 per hour for local transports

DUTIES:

• Transport new and used empty trailers and occasionally loaded trailers throughout the continental United States, primarily within the 11 Western States
• Operate stacked, single, double, and triple trailer configurations safely and efficiently
• Pick up and deliver trailers to and from customer locations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on tractors and trailers
• Ensure loads are properly loaded, secured, and transported safely
• Follow all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies
• Maintain accurate transportation and inspection records
• Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch personnel, and coworkers
• Report equipment issues, maintenance needs, accidents, or safety concerns promptly
• Demonstrate a cooperative attitude and work effectively with all levels of company personnel

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Valid Class A CDL required
• Doubles and Triples Endorsement required
• Current DOT Medical Card required
• Minimum of one (4) year of DOT driving experience required
• Must pass a pre-employment DOT drug screen
• Must pass a background check, DOT physical, CDL driving test, and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
• Ability to operate various truck models and transmission types
• Must have an acceptable driving record
• Ability to work independently and complete assignments accurately and on time
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers and coworkers
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance manuals, and company procedures
• Must be capable of operating vehicles in varying weather and road conditions
• Ability to crank trailer landing gear up and down
• Responsible for strapping trailers when required for transport
• Frequent squatting, kneeling, bending, pushing, and pulling
• Repeatedly enter and exit the tractor cab throughout the workday
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
