Cylinder Maintenance Technician – Boise
Personnel Plus, Inc. Boise is hiring a Cylinder Maintenance Technician in Boise, Idaho
Our client, a gas plant filling company, is looking for a dependable and mechanically inclined Cylinder Maintenance Technician to help keep compressed gas cylinders in safe working condition.
Pay and schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM * Overtime required
- Starting at $18.00 per hour
What you’ll do:
- Inspect compressed gas cylinders for dents, corrosion, leaks, damaged valves, and other defects
- Remove, replace, and torque cylinder valves using proper tools and procedures
- Clean, prep, paint, and re-label cylinders as needed
- Prepare cylinders for hydrostatic testing, requalification, or maintenance
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Perform other duties as assigned
What you’ll need:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to safely use hand and power tools
- Ability to accurately enter data into computer systems
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain accurate inspection and maintenance records
- Perform basic mathematical calculations
- Ability to lift, move, and handle cylinders weighing 50+ lbs.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Basic knowledge of compressed gas cylinders is helpful but not required—we will train the right candidate
- Ability to pass a background check
