Mechanical Demolition Laborer – Nampa
Personnel Plus is now hiring a mechanically inclined Demolition Laborer in Nampa, ID.
Our client is seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined laborer for a temporary demolition assignment involving the use of a hot saw to cut steel and metal. Workers must be ready to start Monday. The assignment is expected to last approximately two weeks.
Pay & Schedule:
- Pay: $25.00 per hour, depending on experience (DOE)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
- Assignment: Temporary, project-based
What You’ll Do:
- Use hot saw equipment to cut steel and metal components as directed.
- Assist with dismantling and removing metal structures, equipment, and materials.
- Measure and mark materials before cutting, following supervisor instructions.
- Move, sort, and organize scrap metal and demolition materials.
- Assist with separating recyclable materials from general debris.
- Help prepare work areas and materials for demolition activities.
- Support demolition crews with tools, equipment, and material handling.
- Inspect tools and equipment before use, and report any damage or safety concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and keep walkways clear of debris.
- Follow proper procedures when handling sharp metal edges and heavy materials.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hair nets, face coverings, and booties, as instructed.
- Follow hot work safety procedures and maintain awareness of sparks, heat, and surrounding workers.
- Assist with loading, moving, and staging materials for removal.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need:
- Experience with hot saw cutting and mechanical demolition preferred.
- Ability to lift and handle materials as required.
- Dependability, a strong work ethic, and the ability to follow instructions.
- Willingness to wear all required PPE, including hair nets, face coverings, and booties.
- Ability to follow all safety guidelines and site requirements.
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs.
- Ability to pass a drug screen.
