Shipping-Receiving -Shop Assistant – Boise

Personnel Plus, Inc. is now hiring a Shipping/Receiving Shop Assistant in Boise, Idaho!

Our client is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented individual to support daily shop operations and assist with shipping and receiving activities. This is an excellent opportunity offering on-the-job training, competitive pay, and a Monday–Friday schedule. Great opportunity to build valuable manufacturing skills!

Pay and schedule: $18.00–$20.00/hour, depending on experience. Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM.

What you will do:

  •  Receive UPS or Truck Shipments; check to make sure all contents are received
  •  Package product for UPS/ Federal Express and/or trucks
  • This will include making crates for some products
  • Perform other duties such as assisting in cutting parts, deburring, and prep work for welders
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and air tools
  • Keep items ready for the production crew, such as cutting ceramics, wire, and metals
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Read and interpret measurements for production and assembly work
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

What you’ll need:

  • Basic math skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure
  • Some previous knowledge or experience using hand and power tools
  • Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work well with others and communicate effectively with team members and management
  • Ability to follow instructions, production specifications, and safety procedures
  • Must be drug-free
