Skilled Laborer

Personnel Plus Burley is seeking a dependable and hardworking Skilled Laborer for a temporary assignment beginning July 6st. The ideal candidate has some previous construction experience and is comfortable performing a variety of labor and maintenance tasks. This work will take place in a food processing facility.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with construction, maintenance, and repair projects
  • Operate hand and power tools safely
  • Load, unload, and move materials as needed
  • Assist with equipment and roller maintenance
  • Repairing and replacing conveyors, bearings, and assisting with changing motors
  • Follow safety procedures and company policies
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Some previous experience in construction
  • Solid understanding of basic hand tools
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable transportation and strong work ethic
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and team lift heavier materials when necessary
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors and in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (8+ hour shifts)
  • Ability to perform frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and crouching
  • Ability to reach overhead and work in confined spaces when necessary
  • Must have steel toed boots/shoes for this project
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen

Compensation

  • $16.00 – 18.00 per hour DOE

Schedule

  • Monday – Friday, 7 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Overtime required as needed
  • Anticipated duration: 3 weeks to 1 month
