Grinder Technician – Rupert
Personnel Plus, Inc. is now hiring a Grinder Technician for a plastics manufacturer in Rupert, Idaho. You’ll collect leftover plastic, run grinding equipment to turn it into reusable material, and keep the work area clean and safe so the plant can reuse plastic instead of wasting it.
Pay & schedule:
$18.00 – $20.00 p/h, depending on experience.
Day shift: 7 AM – 7 PM
Night shift: 7 PM – 7 AM
What you’ll do:
• Operate and monitor grinding equipment
• Gather and sort scrap material, and separate contaminated or unusable pieces
• Grind scrap plastic into regrind material for reuse in production
• Move finished material to production
• Monitor equipment and report equipment issues or mechanical problems
• Maintain a consistent material processing to support daily production goals
• Keep your area clean and free of debris
• Follow all safety rules and PPE requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned
What you’ll need:
• Ability to follow instructions and strict safety procedures
• Ability to stand for long shifts, and complete repetitive work
• Comfort working in a loud industrial setting
• Strong attention to detail and safety
• ability to identify different types of scrap material
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and move materials as needed
• Ability to perform repetitive movements
• Willingness to work in noisy manufacturing environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
• Manufacturing or machine experience is a plus but not required
