City Summer Camp Staff $15.00 p/h Eagle, Idaho Great summer job!

  • Monday- Friday, 8:30 am- 4:30 pm- NO WEEKENDS!
  • Some part-time hours may be available
  • Camps run from June 9th-June 27th AND July 7th– August 1st, 2025

Primary Duties:

  • Responsible for supervising and engaging youth program participants of City summer day camps
  • Planning, leading, and implementing a variety of recreation activities, including sports and field games, arts and crafts, field trips, educational components, and other outdoor activities
  • Works directly with program participants in a day camp setting
  • Assists in setup/cleanup of the facility for the start and close of day camps
  • Responsible for leading daily activities that coordinate with the weekly themes
  • Maintains program materials and inventory, submits supply requests to the Coordinator
  • Reports any lost/broken supplies or equipment
  • Responsible for documentation of each child including sign-in and sign-out sheets
  • Responsible for discipline and conflict resolution at the program site within an assigned age group
  • Ensures and promotes the safety of children in varying environments of the program
  • Maintains leadership and conflict resolution skills
  • Ensures that participants are engaged and comply with all camp policies and guidelines
  • Other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Must pass a fingerprint background check
  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Must have some experience working with the general public
  • Must obtain CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification before the camp start date (Recreation Coordinator will schedule)
  • Must have excellent customer service skills
  • Must display an attitude of cooperation and the ability to work as a team
  • Must have good conflict-resolution skills and sound judgment
  • High level of integrity for the responsibility of children
  • Ability to act appropriately in emergency situations
  • Demonstrate maturity and responsibility in interactions with parents and participants
  • Must be comfortable working outside for long periods in variable weather
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods, and lift to 30 lbs.
  • Required to participate actively in camp activities including running, jumping, laughing, and creating a fun and enjoyable experience
